If one is looking for education, what better place to find it than our nations capital? Washington D.C. has a vast selection of places that one can learn a variety of things. With world famous museums, including the National Museum of American History, educational resources are in abundance. Tourists can spend several days touring the many parts of the Smithsonian Institute, one of the largest and finest collections of museums in the world. US veterans of the armed forces. There are many theaters to visit in Washington D.C.

including The John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. Its facilities include an

opera house, concert hall, and two large theaters. One can also visit Mt. Vernon, the

home of our nations first president, George Washington. There you can go on a tour of

the home of our nations founding father. For a relaxing treat there is the Washington

Ballet and the National Symphony Orchestra.

For those who are looking to relax and have fun, Washington D.C. is virtually a

buffet of choices! The National Zoo on Connecticut Avenue, north of the Georgetown

district, offers a pleasant diversion. The Georgetown District, northeast of the mall, is a

great place to go shopping in trendy boutiques or to go eat in fashionable restaurants.

Another fun site for tourist is Union Station. There are many cafes, shops , and other

forms of entertainment in this building which is the most visited site in Washington D.C.

And also the busiest train station in the united states. There are a wide selection of hotels and dining places to choose from. Including the Embassy Suites, the Hyatt Regency and

the President National. Also fun is the National Aquarium. There, you can see

many different types of marine animals. There are many sports teams in Washington

D.C. so sports lovers can catch a game! There are many night-clubs, concerts and

plays to attend and see in the nations capital. Music lovers of ALL types can be pleased

and for party hoppers the night life is happening!
