Welcome to France were you will be having a 14 day stay. For
14 days it will cost you $1499 and $2164 for the flight were you
can upgrade to first class if you want. This will be an overnight
flight so you might want to bigger seat. All the hotels are first
class with two twin beds. we will be transported in a luxery
motor coach. you might want to pack shorts and t shirts and a
few long pants. The average temp in paris is 69 degrees F. In
France they have a government with a president a cabinet and a
parlament. The parlament can overthrow the cabinet but with
the new constution made in 1958 reduces the power to do that.
The senaters are elected to a nine year term. In France you only
have to go to school util you are 16. If you want to though you
can go to a college or university. They have over 70 of them.
While you are there you might want to visit the Eiffle tower or
Arc de triomphe. If you are into wine you might want to visit
the vineyards. If you are interested in biking go along the Tour
de France route. In France there is a lot of biking. We have the
most famous race in history here. The first bike race in history
was in France in 1868. in france the dogs and cats sometimes
get better treatment than humans. When they take there dog or
cat for a walk they don?t clean up the poop. The leading cause
of accidents in france was sliping in dog poop. Frances cities are
layed out in circles. They ceter of the circle has all the streets
radiating out from it. Most businness are that way also. The
boss sits in the center and little isles of desk radiate outt from his
desk. On sundays the french go shoping toghether as a family.
Bread is so important in the french way of life the government
controls the price of it. The miday meal in france lastes for
about 2 hours and almost all the shops close adn everybody
flocks for the restraunts. if you are in the country everybody
goes home and has lunch. The french children are taught to be
obeideint to there parents all through life. If the chhild is 35 and
the parents ask for advice on who to vote for or what to eat the
children will tell them obeideintly. I the french sociaty you are
not considerd an adult until you have children. Not all people in
France get married because fo children.
Day 1: we will depart the U.S. on an overnight flight to Paris.
Before you go thought you might want to lean a bit of French
because the French aren?t nearly as friendly if you don?t.
Day 2: We will arrive in Paris today. After checking into your
hotel feel free to check out the capitol city. When you are done
exploring have a drink with your tour guide.
Day 3: Today we will visit Paris, Beaune and Lyon. We will
head south down to wine country and the orchards of Gevrey
Chamberlin and the medieval town of Beaune. Before we
continue to Lyon we will stop at one of the local wine cellars
and have a drink.
Day 4:Today we will visit Lyon, Avignon and Nice. We will
start with a scenic morning drive along the valley of the River
Rhone to the Roman ?Pont di Gard? before continuing to
Avignon where we see the Papal Palace and the famous bridge.
Then we travel through the provence of Van Gogh and Cezanne
to the French Riveria and Nice.
Day 5: Today we will visit Nice, Monaco . A free day to enjoy
the holiday atmosphere of the Cote d?Azur. Maybe laze on the
beach or shop in some of the many boutiques. Later we enjoy
French cuisine in a local restraint and taste of the high life on an
included visit Principality of Monaco we see one of the famous
Monte carlo casinos!
Day 6: Nice, Nimes and Carcassonne. Today we drive through
Cannes along this magnificent coast before heading to the city of
Nimew where we see the Roman arena the Maison carre and city
gardens. Then on through the camargue we arrive at the walled
city of Carcassonne for dinner in our hotel.
Day 7: Today we visit Carcassonne, Loudes and Biarritz. Thsi
morning we enjoy an orientation tour of the ?cite? before leaving
this city. We wind our way through the Corbieres hills and
magnificint landscapes toward the Pyrenees and the site of
Lourde. We see the beautiful Basilica on top of St Bernadettes
Grotto in route to Biarritz where we have time for a paddle on
the sandy beaches before continuing to our hotel for diner.
Day 8: Biarritz and Bordeaux. We leanne Biarrtz this morning
and cross the countr of Les Landes tot he classical town of
Bordeaux. Orientation here shows us the Esplanade des
Quinconces and the banks of the Girande. Then theres time to
explore in the old quarter before diner in our hotel.
Day 9: Bordeaux, dordogne valley adn Perigueux. First stop is
St imilion famous for its red wines. Tehn through the dordogne
we travel to see the castle of beynac the fortress of casrellnaud
and josephine bakers chatea of les milandes. Then via la rogue
gageac with its quanit houses clinging to the dorgne cliffs we
continue via les eyzies the cradel of pre history before arriving
in pergueux. This evening we enjoy a nice dinner in the chateau
at nearby chancelade.
Day 10: Today we will visit Perigeueux and Limogges and
Tours. This morning we travel to Limoges where we will see a
demonstation of porcelain manufacture . Then a visit to the
palace of chenonceau int eh loire calley. dinner and overnight is
in tours.
Day 11: Tours, mont st micheal adn caen. Along the loire caller
we view the chatea of saumur and stop in Angers with its
dominting castle. then to brittany where we visit the island town
of mont st michel with its pictuesque streets and impossing
abbey. Finally alon the Liberty highway to st lo adn ont he the
D-Day landing beaches. we continue to our hotel in caen.
Day 12: caen and paris. this morning we visit the bayeux
tapestry muesum with its scenes of the battle of hastinfs in the
preserved 900 year old embroidery. On to Paris we stop at
giverny to visit the house and gardens of claude monet
inspiration for his water lilly paintings.
Day 13: Paris sightseeing. Views of the eiffle tower the champs
elysees the louvre mueseum and a guided tour of Notre dame
cathedral head this mornings sightseeing tour. The rest of the
day you can do whatever you want to do.
Day 14: Paris and back to the U.S. of A.
