In Gretchen Morgenson?s essay ?Sexual Harassment Is Overestimated?, Morgenson discusses how 38% of sexual harassment cases have been confirmed according to The New York Times/CBS toll. There are two types of harassment: quid pro quo harassment, in which career or job advancement is guaranteed in return for sexual favors, and environmental and environmental harassment, which unwelcome sexual conduct ?unreasonable interferes with an individual?s working environment or creates an ?intimidating, hostile, offensive working environment. Morgenson also mentions that harassment is still a problem. Susan Webb quotes ?Harassment is still as big a problem as it has been because the workplace is not integrated?. Which means consultants are filling a need to emphasize against sexual harassment, not creating one. That is supported by the growing number of plaintiffs suing their employers through EEOC (state civil-rights commissions). The final verdict is that, Sexual harassment consultants agree that such behavior, even that which is perceived as harassment only by the most sensitive employee, should be considered illicit.
