William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare was a man whose writings were of pure genius. William
Shakespeare love for writing was with him until the day he died. By the time William
Shakespeare died, he had written three dozen extraordinary plays and over 150 poems.
William Shakespeare’s MacBeth is by far one of the greatest tragedies ever written.
MacBeth is a tragedy about greed. If read with the hopes of finding knowledge within yourself,
MacBeth will teach you a lesson about the human condition.
In MacBeth, the images and representations of ambition, guilt, and the degradation of
being deliver a familiar understanding we all have within ourselves, which in turn helps us cope
or relate. William Shakespeare’s MacBeth leaves an everlasting affect on its audience, by using
superstition and magic. William Shakespeare wrote in situations and surroundings, which would
captivate his audience, much as strange phenomena still fascinates us today.
A passage from (Act V, Scene V) that signifies that life has no meaning was well said.
“Tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace from day to day to the last syllable
of recorded time. And all our yesterdays have but lighted fools the way to dusty death. Out, out
brief candle! Life is but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the
stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot; full of sound and fury, signifying
nothing.”
