I think this is all valid because Saint Thomas Aquinas is saying that God has to exist sometime in life to make the Earth and nature and so forth. If their were to be a infinity then there would be no first or last causes to have happened. There would be no first or last causes to have happened.

I believe the first reasoning that I have listed is invalid because even if Gob didn’t exist there still would be bad things happening in the world. I believe that people cause the evil and harm in this world not God.

I think that a believer would agree with Saint Aquinas and my thought. If they already are a believer it makes more sense to keep on believing. My conclusion would make them happy and them being able to understand clearer what Aquinas is trying to argue about.

P1. The series of efficent cause cant be infinite.

R1. If God were to exist, nothing would be bad. But there are bad

things in the world.

R2. We can not find that something were it’s own efficent cause, if

something is it’s own efficient it would be prior to itself which is

impossible.

R2A. If there were no first efficent cause there would be no

last or intermediary efficient causes.

R2B. In all such series of causes, a first thing causes one or

more intermediaries and the intermediaries causes the

last thing when taken out of order it is effected.

R3. There obviously such causes so we must posit a first efficient cause,

which everyone understands to be God.

Conculsion: There mut be a first cause.
