English, well what is English? We all know that it is a language. But, what is the study of english? It is the study of literature in the english language. People attend english classes. This may be to learn the English Language or to learn about english literature or writing. An english lesson would teach you how to write creatively, based on fact and in different forms, such as essays, reports and narratives. It teaches you new words, to expand your vocabulary and it also teaches you to compare, contrast and how to state your opinion. The other type of english lesson would teach you how to speak the english language and how to write in english. In english, you might learn about a certain text, in which you would have to buy from a shop. You would study the text so that you were familiar with all the words, storyline and use of language, phrases and any other information that the story provides you with.
