1) Where do you live? Only 1 person came from Woolwich, Bexleyheath, Peckham and Dartford. This may be because of the distances between the areas. These people may have just been visitors, rather than regular shoppers. I say this because there are other greater shopping areas, and all of which are closer.

3 people came from the areas of Plumstead and Erith. A few people came from these areas, because they are not as far away from the town as others; so it’s slightly within reach.

4 people came from the areas of Thamesmead west and Thamesmead central, 5 people came from the areas of Thamesmead north and Abbeywood, and Thamesmead south. A lot of people came from these areas, because they are very close to the Thamesmead town centre and this may be the regular area of were they shop at. 2) How have you travelled here today? 15 people surveyed travelled to the town centre by bus. The reason why most of the people travelled here today by bus, may be because of the good bus services offered leading into Thamesmead Town Centre. All of the buses coming in come from a huge variety of areas.

12 people travelled to the town centre by car. The reason why a lot of people travelled by car may be because of the massive free car park. So travelling to the town centre by car makes shopping life much easier.

7 people walked to the town centre. This just simply means that these people may have been very local and decided that walking was the more efficient way of travel. 3) Do you shop in Thamesmead Town Centre 12 people shop in Thamesmead Town Centre 2/3 a week. Most of the people surveyed come to the town centre during these times. These people may be in the local area and just pass through sometimes after work to collect in food in.

8 people shop in Thamesmead Town Centre once a week. A lot of people may come to the town centre per week only, because they may have a busy schedule so they just buy the food needed for the whole week at the supermarket.

7 people shop in Thamesmead Town Centre both on most days and rarely. The people who shop in the town centre most days may be local people of the area. Who pass through the area regularly as a daily schedule. The people who rarely shop at the town centre may be the people who are just visitors. Mainly in the areas with 1-3 living in them in the question of, Where do you live? I came to this conclusion, because these areas are to far for the people of them to be regular shoppers.

4) Where are you most likely to buy food/ clothing/ furniture?

18 people are most likely to buy food in Thamesmead. Most of the people surveyed come to Thamesmead. This may be because of the people surveyed came from Thamesmead, and because there is the super market Safeway’s and Iceland. Which is within reach of the area of Thamesmead.

6 people are most likely to buy food in Woolwich. This is easily understandable as Woolwich holds a huge variety food shops and stalls. Woolwich also has a variety of supermarkets to choose from.
