Cameras in the School

In recent years, security has become a major issue. This occurs in schools as well as other locations. The recent security issue is due in large part to the technological advances or our generation. It has become commonplace to have computers and other items of higher price and quality, thus providing more reasons for higher security. New Brunswick High School is a perfect example of this recent trend. The school board has gone about making the high school technologically up to date. In order to protect their recent expenses, cameras have been placed at various strategic locations around the school’s property. The security recently installed is a good step toward maintaining a safe and secure environment.

The cameras are preventing the theft of the computers. Until the advent of the recent security system, the New Brunswick High School was being burglarized regularly. Items of great material value would come up missing on a daily basis. With the cameras in place though, the thieves were apprehended almost immediately. The trend of thievery in the high school has declined sharply.

The cameras are also preventing student misconduct. Those in attendance of New Brunswick High School are far less inclined to behave in an improper manner in a place they believe to be secretive. Students know that it is impractical to conduct themselves in an indecent fashion due to the fact that they will be caught on camera
