Fear

Fear is something that everyone has. Those people who say that they are afraid of nothing, they have fears too. A Person might not be very aware of a fear that they have, that is, until something happens that makes one aware of it. There are also different degrees of fear. Some people are afraid, but others can be petrified of something. Although a person can be easily afraid of something, they can just as easily overcome that fear.

I used to be afraid of riding in the car, because of a car accident that I was in. It had been the first car accident of my life. Every time that I got in the car after that day, I was very afraid that I would get into another accident.

When I got confortable riding in the car, I really forgot about my fear. Then about a year or two later, I was in my second car accident. This made my fear of riding in the car return. I had been in two car accidents in the same car, and I thought it had something do with the car, but it was only me.

Then after about another year I was in my third car accident. This one, however, was one that made me realize something important to facing my fear. I realized that although I had been made fearful by my previous accidents, I had not allowed them to petrify me. I had gotten back into a car and traveled in it to where I had to go. Therefore, I knew that I was not going to let the third one get to me. I overcame my fear of riding in a car, and it was not very difficult to do.

There are many different types of fears that can be overcome in many different ways. Determining how a person can overcome their fear all depends on that person and the specific fear that they have. The important aspect is that no one should allow themselves to become paralyzed by a fear. With determination, anyone can overcome a fear.
