Slavik Teen Problem Essay, Research Paper

Slavik teens are a big topic over TV and newspapers. They have been doing about every crime there could be done. Most of the Americans think that all people are the same and so they start disrespecting other slaviks. So, how do Russian and Ukrainian teens affect on reputation of Slaviks in California? I ll answer the question, but first some history of the Slaviks in America.

The first Russians that came to America were fishermen that had known about the land for a long time. They have been told by the king to explore the land and build forts alongside the coast of California. Later on a ship came some soldiers to protect forts and some noblemen to govern the forts. During the Spanish expantion in the New World, the Spaniards decided that they don t need more neighbors. So, they decided to destroy the forts while there is not a lot. All but one (Fort Ross, off of highway 101) where destroyed.

The first Ukrainians immigrated to America to run away from the Germans. About one fifth of all Ukrainian population dispersed to other countries to evade German ego. Ukrainians based in New York and mixed in with Russians eventually making one mix called Slaviks. And such the first slavik community was established, the first one in New York. Later to become the first mafia organization.

During the Cold War not many slaviks came to America, they were all though as communist agents and spies. After the Cold War ended a big flow of immigrants came to America. People ran from the communist power and from Stalin horror. All the slaviks that came to America thought of it as a blessed land of beauty and fairness and money for all. Many of them were also Christian. This Christians based their lives to the word of God, and they taught their children the same, but not many of the children listened.

Many of the teens don t listen to their parents and that s their number one problem , (Bruyako). Immigrants are not a problem, their children are. Many of the children came when they were still little. They were very affected by the American community. And that was the main reason why they do not listen to parents. Children learn English faster and when parents do not understand children begin to think that their parents are stupid and do not know anything. Vladimir Tyannikov said, The slavik teen biggest problem is not listening to their parents , (Tyannikov personal interview). And he is absolutely right. Because they don t listen to parents they hang out with bad friends and are pressured by peers into doing drugs and other crimes.

A lot of slavik teens do drugs, alcogol, and other types of drugs. They also sell the drugs at school or take jobs from drug dealers to drive cars filled with drugs to other cities. All of that is very dangerous, the teens are very dangerous at a state of influence. Cops have to be very careful in order not to get shot. I remember when one Ukrainian teen who used drugs, he wanted another dose but he did not have any money. So, he just pulled over a car and demanded money. The person didn t want to give him any, so the crazed out by the drugs the Ukrainian pulled out a gun and shot the guy. The guy came out to be Cosby s son. Now our church writes to that guy, and he became a Christian but it s already too late for him. He has ruined his life, reputation of the slaviks, and has killed a live human person. It will stay with him for all of his life.

Another problem is speeding. 37% of all traffic stops in California are slavik teens (rambler.ru). It is very easy to get a car in America, also the limit is higher. So little fifteen year olds get a fast car and start driving. Of course, first half a year they drive perfectly. But later on they think that their reaction is faster and they drive better then their parents. So, they start driving fast and reckless. There s also street racing problem, the ticket is very big for that. Teens prefer to work harder and pay out the big fines instead of slowing down and drive better. I was just pulled over yesterday for excessive speed, reckless driving, racing, fast lane changing, and endangering other drivers. Luckily for me it wasn t a California Highway Patrol, it was an undercover cop. So, he didn t give me a ticket. It takes a lot of will and strengths for slavik teens to obtain their urge to speed and drive safer.

And of course there s also car theft, car stripping, insurance fraud, credit card fraud, and etc. My good friend was caught for credit card fraud. He and his friends used bosses credit card to buy lunch. With bosses permission of course. But one of the guys decided to do more then that. So, he bought expensive car accessories and when the bill came the boss sued them. Slavik teens steal cars it s a good profit. All slaviks teens know everything about cars, they fix them on everyday basis. So when you know how the lock works and how to hot wire a car it s a piece of cake. And when you need money and this guy is giving a lot of it for just stealing a car. Well why not? So, slavik teens get involved and get caught. For a lot of teens this became their life. They steal some cars, get money, spend tehm, steal more, get caught, sit in jail, come out, steal some more, and so on. It s an endless cycle and nothing can stop all this wave of criminality. Nothing but two things, God and parents.

Slavik teens totally ruined slavik elder reputation. There has been so many crimes done by us that all of our good deeds are not seen. It s like an ant behind a box. And there s no end to that. The only solution I and Lokteff see is Parents involving their children with church activities , Teens should be busy with work, so crazy ideas won t get into their heads (Lokteff personal interview). Only God can help teens get out of the endless cycle and due something good about their life. Most teens don t understand that, that s why you need parents to explain that to their children.

When more slavik teens will believe in God and listen to their parents there would be less crimes. A lot less. And the reputation would rise too. There would be less and less bad slaviks and more good slaviks. So, the only solution is faith in God and maybe slower cars, maybe something like Geo Metro of Ford Aspire.
