Christmas

Christmas has many different meanings. The three that strike people

the most are sharing, giving, and spending time with families. This essay will

explain in greater detail these three simple words that define Christmas. (3)

The first word that defines Christmas is sharing. During the holidays

people share more than any other time of year. Children who do not have

anything get presents from people they do not even know. People want every

one to feel special during Christ?s birthday. Sharing with others makes people

feel good about themselves. This is one of the main parts of Christmas. (6)

Giving is the second part of Christmas. Giving presents to others

makes the participants feel good and can brighten their whole day. More

people donate food, clothing, and toys during Christmas than in any other

season of the year. Also homeless shelters are filled with people who help

cook and serve food. This is what Jesus wanted on his birthday. Watching

others? eyes light up as they receive a present, food, or even a hug is the most

wonderful part of Christmas. (6)

Last, Christmas is a time for families to be together. Families are so

important and often are neglected any other time of the year. Some times

people wait all year for this day just so they can sit down and have a nice

meal with their loved ones. Being with the ones you love makes Christmas

perfect. God gave us families, so people would always feel loved and wanted.

During Christmas those feelings are stronger than ever! (6)

December twenty fifth, the day Jesus was born, is the most special day

of the year. This essay has described three things that make this day so

extraordinary. There are many other little ways to define Christmas, but

sharing, giving, and families are the most important. (3)
