My favorite television show growing up was the A-Team. It may have not had the best cast, or the best writers, but had everything this little boy loved. It had action, comedy, suspense, the occasional love story, but most of all it was about a bunch of misfits that banded together to make a great team.

The A-Team was a group of four guys: Hannibal, Face, BA, and Murdock. They served in a Special Forces unit together in Vietnam. One day they were sent on a special assignment to rob a Hanoi bank. Unfortunately their command post was destroyed that evening by a mortar attack so there was no record of their orders. They were sent to jail, where they promptly escaped to Los Angeles and became soldiers of fortune. Helping people when the law could not.

Hannibal was their leader. He was always cool under pressure, no matter how tough things seem to get. It didn t matter if you were the local Mob boss or if you were a corrupted police officer. He would just smile, light his cigar, and give you a look like as if to say, you have no idea what s about to happen .

Face was the smooth talking ladies man. He could talk his way into and out of trouble better than the best con man. He would always be the shoulder for the damsel to cry on, and of course would provide the romance that all television shows needed.

BA was the tough guy of the show. No one could beat him. Either he would stare you down with his burning eyes, or he would just beat you silly. BA was also a mechanical genius. It was amazing what he could do with a blowtorch and a few spare parts. Every week it seemed he was transforming his precious van, or a broken down car into a tank. Even though he was a tough guy he was very kind at heart; especially when it came to children.

Last but not least was Murdock. Murdock was the certifiably crazy pilot. He could fly anything. He was also a master of disguise. It didn t matter if you needed an eccentric art dealer, or a German nuclear physicist, Murdock could pull it off.

As you can see the four of them couldn t be any different. That s what made them such a great team. No matter how tough the situation, or how high the odds were stacked against them; they would use their combined skills to help anybody who was in trouble, against the forces of evil.
