The Volleyball Game Essay, Research Paper

One by one, I saw them go under their team’s handmade bridge. With hair pulled back in tight ponytails and big smiles on their faces, they took their positions on the gym court. With the blow of a referee’s whistel, this volleyball game was about to begin. I sat on faded blue bleachers filled with the roaring crows of amily and friends. ( My ears ringing with the sounds of cheerleaders yelling “Go Team Go”.) As the game continued onward, from the corner of my eye I noticed a group of young children playing a game of chase within the bleachers. Coaches were pacing the floor frantically with frustration and tension with hopes of the game ending in their favor. I heard the sound of the volleyball whoosh back and forth from one side of the net to the other. Their blue uniforms flashed as the moved around on the court. All players, whether tall or short, were dedicated to winning the game. The team expressed determination while the scoreboard showed them three points behind their opponent. I head a loud whack as the volleyball was served over the net. Twice the opposing team failed to return the serve.

Wiping away sweat from their faces and being one point away from victory, the volleyball went over the net. Excitement filled the gym as the volleyball landed on the edge of the boundary line. Once again, the team claimed their position on the gym floor, but this time to claim thier victory.
