John Oakhurst and Billy the Kid weren’t really alike. They were very different in fact. They were alike in some ways. Like they were both outlaws, gamblers, and they were both shot by a gun. The difference was that one was a good-hearted man and the other one was a cold-hearted killer. Oakhurst was a man who may give you your money back after he won it in a game, if your were a man that he liked. Billy was a cold killer, a cattle stealer, and a train/bank robber.

The way that they both died was by gun, one by sorrow and the other by another. Billy the Kid way shot by a sheriff, named Pat Garrett who found Billy in a house unaware that there was someone there to kill him. But it was well deserve due to the nasty thing that Billy did. John Oakhurst shot himself because of the sorrow he felt form the death of Piney and the Duchess. They froze to death because John couldn’t get back in time to help them. So he shot himself.
