I interviewed the secretary, Hope, at Pitts Family and Sports Chiropractic Center. At her job, she fills out paperwork on different patients, makes appointments for them, and she takes care of all the insurance forms. Also, she helps the chiropractor, Dr. Pitts, take care of certain jobs such as helping patients with their therapy. At Pitts Family and Sports Chiropractic Center, they accept almost all the different insurance agencies. Such agencies include huge government agencies like Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She does not have any certifications at any of the different levels, which are federal, state, and local levels. Most secretaries do not require any state certification.

However, the employer might require certain abilities such as being able to type reasonably well and having people skills. Her involvement with the government is not quite as high as her employer, Dr. Pitts, who is the practicing chiropractor, even though they work in the same office. She is not required to have any certifications except for her employer s standards. However, the guarantee of the money for the insurance relies very heavily on the government involvement.
