Russian Revolution 3 Essay, Research Paper
This essay will explain all about how Czars or Russia and Karl Marx and if they did lead to the Russian Revolution. The Czars of Russia and Karl Marx did help lead to the Russian Revolution. Ivan the great, Ivan the terrible, Karl Marx, Friederich Engle and Lenin all helped contribute to the Russian Revolution of 1971. The immediate cause of the Russian revolution was the of the Czar regime. The underlying cause was the poor economic condition of the country, which made it unable to hold up against Germany. Russian industry lacked the capacity to arm, equip, and supply the same 15 million men who were sent into the war. Factories were few and insufficiently productive and the railroad network as inadequate.
Karl Marx, a German political philosopher and revolutionist, cofounder with Friedrich Engles of scientific socialism. He was born in Trier on 1818 and died on 1883. In the years that Karl Marx lived he would change Russia forever. Even though he could not of done what he did with out Friedrich Engles. When Engles visited Karl Marx in Paris on 1844 the two men found that they had independently come up with identical views on nature of revolutionary problems. Marx s ideas and theories came to be known as Marxism, or scientific socialism. His analysis of capitalist economy and his theories of historical materialism, the class struggle, and the surplus value have become the basis of modern socialist doctrine.
But still in Russia food supply decreases, and the transportation system became disorganized. In the trenches, solders went hungry and frequently lacked shoes or munitions sometimes even weapons. It was good that Ivan The Great came along. He was born on 1440 and died in 1505. He helps by making lots of revolutionary changes. Ivan the Great took the throne on his father s death in March 1462.
A number of important developments occurred internally in Muscuvy during Ivan s reign. There was a great upsurge of building, ranging from artillery-proof walls for cities and monasteries to construction of new church structures. The first Muscovite legal code, the sudubnik of 1497, was compiled, which restricted the right of peasants to leave the estates where they worked. A group within the church believed that the possession of land corrupted the church, and supported Ivan s drive to take church property. This was good for Ivan The Great but still not so good for those who believed in the church ways.
Sometime after Ivan The Great, which was really Ivan III Vasilyevich, came Ivan The Terrible, which was Ivan IV Vasilyevich. Ivan The Terrible was a greedy man that only cared for himself. He was born on 1530 and happily died in 1584. He was a one Russia s most brutal ruler ever. Ivan kept an eye over the vast expansion of his country and then brought it to near ruin. Ivan also expanded a program to increase government ownership and control of land. In 1556 Ivan exerted control over the boyars and princes who still held private lands in Muscovy by requiring then and their personal slave solders to serve in the cavalry as well.
Even though Ivan was doing these things for no better purpose other then for him self. With out him maybe the Russian revolution 1917 would not come about. By forcing then into services class Ivan took away the Russian nobility’s independently. The country’s vast lower class, which were the peasants, also saw their part in social society, worsens during the period of which Ivan The Terrible ruled. The system gradually turned many peasants into serfs, which were bond to the lad they titled. One good thing about this was that the expansion of the service class made many princes and other members of the higher class had to answer the trar and no longer rivaled him power.
One Very Impotent man that contributed a lot towards the start of the Russian Revolution Of 1917 was Vladmir Iich Lenin. He was the fist dictator of the USSR. Lenin led the Bolshevik takeover of the provisional Russian government in what was known as The October Revolution or 1917. But really this revolution took play on November 6 – 7 according to the modern calendar. Lenin was one of the biggest revolutionary leaders of the 20th century.
All in all Karl Marx did put in a lot towards the Russian Revolution and The Czar of Russia did also. With out all these people the Russian Revolution of 1917 would not of come about. Even though not all these peoples did great thing they all contributed to the Russian Revolution of 1917. With all these people contributing to the Russian Revolution with out knowing it would ever come about.
