I write to you today, hoping that I only live to see another day, but that doesn’t seem

likely. Many things I have seen and heard that I only can mention are very devastating to

the troops. I have many flashbacks as I shut my eyes. I see soldiers yelling and big , heart

pounding explosions. And only thinking of tomorrow holds me through the days and

writing helps me cope with my devastation.

May things I have heard of the Holocaust. How Hitler has ascended into power

and what once was an idea now has become a furious reality. There are systematic round

ups of under derivable , they process them of to ships and ship them off to concentration

and labor camps. They are given physicals periodically. The weak taken to extermination

camps a.k.a. crematoriums. As I close my eyes I can visualize women, children and even

men anguishing cries in the rooms and their screams sending a chill down my spine.Those

that pass physicals are on prescribed diet,turn-ups and water only a matter of time before

they fail physical. it is told that there are 6 million dead still herwe are more in the

concentration camps.Thorough destuction especiallyby fire. allies defeat German army and

libiberate camp.

Also i have heard of the post war2.It is now Betweenthecommunist (USSR)

.Soviet Union against the USA.it began in 1946 I was told with the rise of ‘from

curtain”.Which was as I recall victorious allies of great Britian,France,russia and the

US.there were frequent confromtions that includ Berlin blockade, divison of Germany,

Koren war. The Vietnam war1st,2nd.

Now as I sit here during this Korean war. It has ended out i still wait before a long

time ago in1910 Korea was part of japanese empire.korea has now divided at the 38th

parallel,northsoviet union.South USA.Dulles outlines perimeter of defense on the

containment of communism.excludes South korea!!russia interpreted this as a sign that

invasion of south will have no consequences.North Korea invades south Korea we send

troop over there lasted.1950-53,52,000 US soldier died.Korea still divided today.

As i now near the end of my letter , I can only thank whatever has me still alive

today that i am extremely grateful. With only a few hours I will live to see another day.

The worst is far over, but I am still here waiting to depart and leave back home. Home to

my family as they say “Home is where the heart is and
