Article Critique ? New Hotel Project

The article talks about the possibilities of making ?One card, For Many Doors?. They are trying to make a room key with an internal credit card. Using a new system guests will be able to check in and issue a room key (double encoded) using their own credit card. The double encasement offers a key that unlocks your door and serves as an internal credit card.

I think this is a great way of reducing personnel costs, and making the billing easier. The downside is that the majority of people come to hotels to get personal service. Isn?t that what hospitality is all about? People want some kind of recognition when they check in, not everyone is so keen on getting their rooms as fast as possible. This is the first time I have ever heard about a card with these features and that?s why I chose it for this assignment.
