It warms– you up, surging through your body

Like a bullet in the night–

It rushes through your veins–

Melting your cold hands of ice.

It is– constantly present

Even– on the coldest day of the year–

Although it may be hidden

It is right within your ear.

It takes– over the mind– of those who feel it–

And tears–apart– their pitied souls

It brings–rage– to the apathetic–

And possesses– the ability –to destroy all we know.

It is — inescapable–

You can run, you can hide–

But when–it– finds you

You turn to ice.

It’s in– the eyes of a killer–

Filling him with an enraged, passionate fervor

It surges– through his body heightening his senses–

Making him lose all– rational thought, nothing short of Lucifer.

It’s in– the scorching sun of – a wasteland

So hot and brutal

It’s in– the breath of warrior–

So furious and troublesome.

It’s at the heart of every conflict–

And gets all bottled up inside–

And when– you finally have the urge to release it
