CAPITAL PUNISHMENTCapital Punishment or Life Imprisonment? I think that capital punishment should be use more often than just life imprisonment. Life imprisonment is just not working. The death penalty does have some cons but it has its share of pros too. Lets start with the pros. Most prisons are over crowed with prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment. If we start using capital punishment more, that would change. Then we wouldn’t have to build more and more prisons. The death penalty is also cheaper than life imprisonment. It would save a lot of tax money that goes to prisoners room and board. Also if we would start using capital punishment it would decrease crime due to stricter punishment. If it would decrease the crime rate we would have a safer society.

I can not think of very many cons for using the death penalty. Some people believe that capital punishment is morally wrong. Well, so is murder, the crime that the prisoner is on death row for. Another thing is that every time there is an execution, there are protesters, but that can be controlled by not letting the public know when there is an execution. I hope you are convinced that I am that using capital punishment over life imprisonment can reduce crime, save tax money and bring a safer society.
