Why I Like Education Essay, Research Paper

Throughout my educational career many people have

motivated me. I have been inspired by good teachers who

have challenged me and then led me to my answers. I have

been inspired by the bad teachers who have illusioned me

into thinking that teaching was an easy field. I have been

inspired by good students who enjoyed school and embraced

the power of knowledge. Now I am being inspired by college

professors who ask me to think about what I want to be and

why I want to do it?

I want to teach because I can be the one to inspire

the future. To me teaching is an art form. A good teacher

possesses a skill, charisma, that certain type of energy

that it takes to captivate an audience so that they know

every student in the classroom is giving them there

undivided attention. Good teachers make learning fun.

They can be a friend, a counselor, a parent and an educator

all at once. I’ve watched bad teachers ramble on without

the attention of the students, I’ve watched bad teachers

allow the students to control the classroom. I feel that I

can learn that skill that it takes to be the teacher in

control.

As a teacher I feel that I can teach children their

ABC’s, their numbers, how to read and write, and right from

wrong while still making it fun. I found the joy in

learning through good teaching and I hope to pass that joy

on as a good teacher.
