Experimental Design: Step1: Gather All Materials, 1 wooden dowel, 1 wooden block, 1 piece ofcardboard, string, 20 small washers, 3 large washers, Plastic cup to hold washers,ruler, a 1 paper clip.Step2: Unfold and bend the paper clip and tape it to the wooden block.Step3: Connect the cup and the paper clip with 11in of string.Step4: Tape the wooden dowel to the end of the cardboard to create a smoothsurface.Step5: Place string over dowel.Step6: Add small washers to the cup until block touches dowel.

Step8: Record Data.Step9: Do step 6 again but add another large washer each time.Step10: Record dataStep11: Repeat step 9Step12: Record Data and make Graph Data:length of string 11 the number of large weights it took for block 1 to touch dowel 13the number of large weights it took for block 2 to touch dowel 15the number of large weights it took for block 3 to touch dowel 17 Conclusion:In conclusion I found that the heavier the block the more small weights it wouldtake to move the block. There are things that could have affected this experimentand did. When we were adding waits to the cup the block and cardboard weresliding. I have faith in my data because the number of weights it took to pull on thecup increased steadily. you can see this increase in my graph.
