land and needed food and the upper and middle classes who didn?t want to be

possible for the Bolsheviks to gain power in November 1917 were the things that

happened in the summer and the autumn. The provisional government was doing

badly. ?The war was going badly and not

enough food was being produced which meant that the prices soared. ?This made the Russian people listen to the

Bolshevik ideas and give them some backing. 4. I don?t think it was

inevitable that the Bolsheviks took over but I do believe that there would have

been a Revolution in Russia. If the Bolsheviks had not taken power it probably

would have been another extremist party because it is the extreme ideas that

get listened to in a bad situation.
