Paragraph #1
There are six different love relationships found in On Golden Pond. They are Norman and Ethel, Chelsea and Norman, Chelsea and Ethel, Chelsea and Bill, Norman and Billy, and Billy and Bill and Chelsea. Norman and Ethel have love of being married. Chelsea and Norman is a father daughter love. Chelsea and Ethel is a mother daughter love. Chelsea and Bill is the love of being married. Norman and Billy is a grandfather grandson love. Billy and Bill and Chelsea is a parents and child relationship. It is a circle, group, orgie thing.

Norman is an old man who is forgetful. He is hard to get along with but a kind person who likes to read and fish. Ethel is a person that likes to stay busy. She has to be very understanding because of Norman. Chelsea did not like her father until she talked to him and found out he is OK. Billy did not like Golden Pond until he started having fun. He also started to like reading.

Golden Pond is Norman’s and Ethel’s home. They love living there. When Chelsea goes to Golden Pond she turns into a little fat girl. Billy loves Golden Pond and it is like a second home for him.

The screenplay is a comedy with Norman trying to be funny. It is also a tragedy when Norman almost dies.

The conflict between Chelsea and Norman is Norman makes Chelsea feel as if she is a little, fat girl again. The conflict is resolved when Chelsea confronts Norman and talks to him.

Billy and Norman are good for each other because they are alike in many ways. They also like doing things together.

I agree with this assessment. It has the worth of life and it has good humor. There is a love between Norman and Ethel that was built over many years.
