Camping Each year, thousands of people throughout the United States choose to spend their vacations camping in the great outdoors. The kind of trip will depend on the person s adventurous nature. Some examples of camping ideas are log cabin camping, motor home camping, and tent camping. Of these, ten camping involves roughing it the most, and if planned well, can be an enjoyable experience. Even with the best planning however, tent camping can be an extremely frustrating experience due to uncontrolled factors such as bad weather, equipment failures and wildlife. Tent camping is the hardest type of camping. Nothing can ruin the excited anticipation of camping more than a dark, rainy day. Even the best campers can lose some of their enthusiasm if the skies are dreary and damp. After reaching their destination, campers must then set up camp in the rain. This includes keeping the inside of then tent dry and free from mud, getting the sleeping bags situated, and protecting food from the rain. If the sleeping bags do get wet, the coldness would make things worst. Even inside the tent, problems can arise. Therefore, it is always wise to make sure the weather conditions are good; it could ruin your trip if you don not.
Perhaps the most common trouble is equipment failures. These troubles often hit families camping for the first time, whether it is a disfunctional tent, sleeping bag zipper disasters, or a rocky tent bottom. Even though it is very unlikely a camper would run into a beat, other forms of wildlife could appear. These encounters could range from mildly annoying to dangerous. Some minor annoyances may include mosquitoes and ants. The swarming mosquitoes can literally drive campers indoors. Ants do not usually attack campers, but they do attack food. Keeping then out of food s reach is almost impossible. In addition to swarming food, ants inside tents can crawl into sleeping bags and clothes. Some wildlife is potentially dangerous. Snakes can very easily enter in tents. Thus, run-ins with wildlife may sometimes be unstoppable. Troubles with camping can ruin any camping trip. Weather can ruin sleeping bags, food and other important things. Equipment problems can also arise, such as broken tents or disfunctional sleeping bag disasters. By far the worst is wildlife encounters, whether it is pesky insects or dangerous animals. In conclusion, these three problems can make any camping experience horrible
