The two have a daughter who is twenty-six years and an electrical engineer. Mr. Bhowmick who is a religious and spiritual man is discouraged by his wife, because of his constant prayers. “He wasn’t praying, she nagged; he was shutting her out of his life.” The relationship between the members of this house also weren’t very good. He had a wife that he did not love. His daughter Babli “was not the child he would have chosen as his only heir”, “he regretted again that she was not the child of his dreams.” One day when coming back to the house Mr.Bhowmick had saw Babli’s car still outside in the lot. It was the only possible option if she didn’t want to bring shame to the Bhowmick family.” Without hesitation Mr. Bhowmick puts the blame on his wife saying that it was her idea of coming to America. Watching his daughter for weeks trying to figure out who the father was, He came to the conclusion she must of “yielded to love” or must have been raped. Then one day in July when her stomach began to show Mr.Bhowmick heard the two women arguing. Right away yelling out stop it “shut up! Babli”s Pregnant. With the two arguing the truth comes out of who the father of the child is. Babli says very bluntly “who needs a man? At the end of all the mayhem Mr. Bhowmick is holding a rolling a pin, suddenly he lifted the pin high over his head
And struck Babli’s stomach with it. Coming to a conclusion to all this, The wife calls the police.
