?Compact, Clean, and Charitable.? Switzerland is a country crowded with beautiful scenery. This includes majestic mountains and miles and miles of fields, forests, and dynamic cities. The Swiss value nature and beauty and are very proud of their efforts of protect the environment. This book focuses on not only the land and all of its enchantments, but mainly on the people who are said to be the key to what makes Switzerland such an enjoyable place.

Martin Hintz, the author of the book Switzerland describes his country very meticulously. He hits on topics like Switzerland?s geography, history, culture, leisure and about every other little detail found in the country Switzerland. Martin wants to make the reader feel as if Switzerland?s a great place to live; nice people, nice environment, and an all around great place.

When I read this book, I felt like I just got done reading some kind of fairy tale. The author, Martin Hintz, does a great job in sugar-coating all of the troubles in the country and emphasizing the strengths. I understand that this book was meant to tell the good things about the country like the strong ethnic background and the ?Adventurous, artistic, and industrious Swiss who have a broad, eager outlook on life,? but no countries perfect and I think it?s a little unfair to deny the problems that Switzerland and its people have.
