a series of visual images, called a shot list, and pictures of the images, called storybooks,

are drawn, locations are built on sound stages. The actors rehearse, and the directors are

come up the visual, narrative, and performance styles of the film, making final changes in

the screenplay with the screenwriter.

Next stage is production. This is where the shooting, which will later be

made into the final film. A scene is a grouping of shots where time and space seem

continous. Shooting is organized around filming different parts of the film each day.

Scenes that will have the same elements are shot together even if they will not be

together in the film.
