I believe that attending the fine institution of Southwest Texas State University would enrich the goals I have set for myself in life more than that of any other university in the state. Being it, as it may, I have lived a closed life in a suburb of a major metropolitan city (Dallas), and I would think that leaving my home to live and go to school in San Marcos would aid me in attaining life experience. I understand that San Marcos is somewhat like a modern suburb, like Garland, but it is obviously different from what I am used to, and this also would benefit me in my learning experience and the concept of my fresh start. I reason that leaving home would allow me to be able to live and perceive the real world. I have had people taking care of me in the majority of my lifetime, and I realize that these people will not be pampering me for the remaining part of my lifetime. Education is important to me, and I conclude that Southwest possesses my need for deepening my knowledge inside of class and out. For not only do I want to further my knowledge academically, but athletically, also. In addition to my scholastics, I intend to be a part of the football team for my extracurricular activity. I gather that being a part of the football organization will benefit both the team and me.

I am confused about many of the experiences of life ahead of me except one, and that is to attend Southwest Texas State University. I have had many of my friends and role models attend Southwest Texas. They not only recommend Southwest Texas for its academics but also for its atmosphere surroundings.I have accomplished a lot in my young life so far and I am very proud of myself for doing these things. I am now looking to the next big step of my existence and that is attending college. I feel that I am ready and prepared for this challenge at hand.
